Jane is a Certified Mental Health and Addictions Counsellor and Student Therapist. She is a highly professional, client-centred and compassionate individual committed to fostering authentic therapeutic relationships focusing on strategies to achieve client driven goals. Through a trauma-informed lens, she naturally establishes trust through authentic client attunement. Jane strives to inspire her clients to find resolution to their pain by instilling confidence, empowerment, resilience and self-advocacy allowing them agency to embrace the joy of being human, learn compassion for themselves while rediscovering their true self. With a strong foundation in clinical addictions counseling, Jane’s therapeutic approach includes CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), Attachment Theory and Solution Focused Therapy. She is deeply committed to empathetic, non-judgemental care and considers it a privilege to help clients overcome their adversities. True healing encompasses mental, emotional, physical and psychological well-being. Anxiety and depression are ubiquitous in today’s society, perpetuating concurrent realities of coping including addictive behaviours and isolation. Trauma, whether big or small, is often the underlying cause of mental and emotional pain. It takes courage to be vulnerable and therapy provides a safe space to unlock trauma and identify the root cause of pain. A life long learner, Jane continues to advance her qualifications by participating in additional training courses to broaden her scope of practice; of particular interest to her is certification in EMDR for trauma healing as well as IMAGO, specifically designed for Couples Therapy. Aside from her love of being a therapist, Jane treasures her family, finds adventure in travel and values embracing life with balance.
