Lara is a Registered Psychotherapist, certified with College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Professional member of Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Lara holds a post-graduate Psychotherapy Diploma and has multiple certifications in addiction care and treatment, trauma and crisis intervention. She is experienced working with a variety of clinical issues such as depression, anxiety, addictions, trauma, unresolved childhood issues, grief and stress management. In addition to her private practice, Lara‘s recent work experience as front line counsellor/therapist was dedicated to providing support and treatment to victims of domestic violence that are suffering from a variety of mental health issues and addictive behaviors. Lara utilizes a wide range of therapies based on a response to client’s unique needs. She is trained in Behavioral Therapies, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma- focused therapy, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, Mindfulness and Body Psychotherapy.
