Andrew is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, holding a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Toronto. Predominantly utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Mindfulness-based approaches, Andrew has a deep commitment to helping individuals overcome challenges and achieve personal growth, integrating these evidence-based therapies to provide effective and tailored treatment to his clients. Andrew has specialized interest in grief work and supporting individuals through the challenging process of loss and bereavement, bringing over 10 years of hospice experience supporting both adults and youth in navigating the complex emotions and adjustments that accompany grief. Alongside this, Andrew brings an extensive understanding of the education system from his 10-year tenure as an elementary school teacher, where he served as both a classroom teacher and a Special Education Resource Teacher. His approach is characterized by a strong emphasis on collaboration and empowerment, helping clients develop practical skills to manage stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. Andrew believes in the power of creating a supportive and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours in a safe place. Outside of his professional endeavors, Andrew enjoys playing hockey, running, and spending time with his family.
