Bita is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). She holds a Master of Psychology and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering. She is a certified clinical Traumatologist (TITC-CT) and a certified CBT practitioner, employing an eclectic approach in psychotherapy. Bita uses multiple therapeutic methods, such as mindfulness, compassion-focused therapy, DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy), somatic experiencing, and SFT, based on individual needs and goals with a trauma-informed and strength-based lens. Bita can provide psychotherapy in both Farsi (Persian) and English. She has worked with diverse populations, cultures, and ethnicities, primarily with adults and adolescents. Her areas of focus include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, life transitions, loss and grief, trauma, and self-growth. Her aim is to support individuals in gaining deeper insight into their life experiences and, through their own creative ways, to connect with the inner joy of being in the 'here and now'. "Walking on the path of yoga for more than 25 years for my self-growth, and practicing and teaching energy healing, has helped me realize how powerful and, at the same time, vulnerable human nature can be, and that embracing our vulnerability is the key to growth. I believe life experiences teach us that everything in physical existence is constantly changing. Life is dynamic, and it is up to us to learn how to dance with the rhythm of life, bringing joy and light from within to illuminate our way in the 'wonderland' of life. In addition to my professional life, I enjoy long walks, watching stand-up comedy, and occasionally writing poems.
